Every year, millions of dogs and cats are brutally traded throughout Southeast Asia to supply the demand for dog and cat meat. Many are stolen family pets and illegally trafficked. They are crammed into cages or sacks and taken on long journeys often lasting for days – hungry, thirsty and scared. For those who survive, their journey ends at a slaughterhouse, restaurant or market. The smells, noises and brutality that await them are terrifying. Once there, they watch others being killed in front of them whilst they wait for their turn.

 

To the traders, they are just a commodity.  To consumers, they are just a meal. To us, they mean the world.
